With rumours that some artistes across the globe use dark powers in their craft, a one-upon a time celebrated singer in Uganda has releaved that in his hay days, he sought such powers to release his hits.
Clever J, real name Gerald Muwonge told a Ugandan TV station that he would visit shrines for seek fame and hits.
The singer is well known in Uganda for his songs Manzi W'anani, Ensi Yaleeta, Fanya Kaazi, Sumulula, Monica, and Sweet Maama among others.
The singer added that his downfall came when he failed to meet the demands of a witch doctor.
He said he was asked to offer a sacrifice.
"I was told to offer two bulls for my brand to stay on top."
He explained that the 'blessings and favor' he was getting started declining and songs started dropping in the music charts.
The singer opened up about this as he is making a comeback.
